Barbara Bloom is een conceptueel kunstenaar die vooral bekend staat om haar multimedia-installaties waarin ze visuele verhalen construeert die de relaties onderzoekt tussen objecten en hun betekenissen. Bloom construeert op ingenieuze wijze visuele werelden in verschillende media, waaronder fotografie, installaties, film en boeken.
