Marshalore – Orpheus in the Netherlands

Omschrijving

Marshalore moves throughout the width of the stage in the darkness, handling a lamp in her hands. She alternately directs the light at her body as she moves, and at the textile tent behind her. Simultaneously she pronounces the sentences “What I say to you is true”, “What I say to you is not true”, “After darkness I expect light”, and separate words i.e. “gods”, “demons”, “restlessness”, etc. The performance is accompanied by experimental music.
