Notebook Aggy

Omschrijving

Notebook containing various notes by Aggy oround the Works and Words exhibition at de Appel. Many of the notes concern specific events and people in and from Poland and the Czechoslovakia including references to photo series, films, various publishers, and art spaces, as well as mentions of several artists, critics, and art historians.

In addition, some pages include stapled postcard invitations for exhibitions.
1. Czy Jeszcze istnieje sztuka?/Does art still exist? by Lech Mrozek at Galeria Sztuki Noajnowszej. An exhibition created by cultural hub Akademickie Centrum Kultury.
2. Letter (two folded, stapled A4 sheets) concerning the organisation of lectures and workshops at de Appel by Przemysław Kwiek and Zofia Kulik, with mentions of slide projections, texts, photos, and films. References other figures including Ryszard Waśko, Jacek Jóźwiak, Jerzy Onuch (conservator), Andrzej Lachowicz, and Natalia LL (Natalia Lach-Lachowicz). Also mentions "Works and Words."
3. inserted a5 with the number of Natalia and mention of Teresa Muta with some side note to a specific art work.
4. inserted A5 mentioning P. Beres (Maria Pinińska-Bereś) with possible moments for appointments with her.

6. Paper insert stapled to notebook with letterhead from Ivan van Štěpán. Note concerning Tomas and “Touch”. Describing that he has also worked together with Bartos (Peter Bartoš).
7. Folded orange A4 letter from Henryk Gajewski to Aggy, dated 20 January 1979, written in response to a letter Aggy had sent him. Gajewski mentions he will be showing seven avant-garde artists from an Olympic country, one of whom will be coming to Remont Gallery. Also mentions the "Other Child Books" project and asks Aggy to invite friends/artists to it. Hand-signed, with a question: “do you know where is Marina and Ulay?”
8. Brown stapled paper: Contains names of various artists.

10. Stapled a4: Names of various galleries in Poland with description of thematics and disciplines. The bottom also lists names of Polish critics and theorist
11. Table of artists vs. themes and ideologies: This table gives specific data on 12 artists and which formal and ideological tendencies they align with, marked with an "+" if applicable.
