Seminar by de Appel

In early 2009 Ann Demeester was invited by dr. Sophie Berrebi to participate in a course at the University of Amsterdam, entitled ‘Doing Modern and Contemporary Art’. In a series of seminars students were introduced to different practices in the field of contemporary art, such as art criticism, the art market, artistic practice and curatorial practice. The latter consisted of four meetings, all hosted and made possible by (members and students of) de Appel. The seminars aimed to offer different and varied perspectives on what curatorial practices (can) entail.
