While awaiting the completion of its new home base in 2010, de Appel is celebrating its temporary disembodiment with a special programme under the title “The Future Will Last Longer Than The Past”. Throughout 2009 the emphasis shifts away from objects and images and will be focussed on text, the spoken word and gesture.
With this focus in mind we proudly present, "Keep it to Yourself", the fifth edition of F.R.DAVID, Sunday the 15th of March at 6 pm in the ‘Filmroom’ on the sixth floor of the Arts & Crafts Building on Damrak 70, Amsterdam.
The launch will be hosted by editors Ann Demeester, Will Holder, Dieter Roelstraete and includes screenings of “A girl, The Sun And An Airplane", Katarina Zdjelar (2007), "Teaching a Plant the Alphabet", John Baldessari (1972) and "A Corner in Wheat", D.W.Griffith (1909).
Please note that the A & C building will only be accessible from 5.30 pm onwards and that no entrance is possible after 6.30pm !
