Zeina Maasri

Dr. Zeina Maasri is hoofddocent Global Visual Culture aan de Universiteit van Bristol. Ze is auteur van het bekroonde Cosmopolitan Radicalism: The Visual Politics of Beirut’s Global Sixties (Cambridge University Press, 2020) en Off the Wall: Political Posters of the Lebanese Civil War (IB Tauris, 2009), en mederedacteur van Transnational Solidarity: Anticolonialism in the Global Sixties (Manchester University Press, 2022). Naast haar publicaties is ze curator van tentoonstellingen en online archiefbronnen over de moderne visuele cultuur in de Arabische wereld. Haar meest recente onderzoeksproject en tentoonstelling Decolonizing the Page: A Forgotten Golden Age of Arabic Book Arts (1950s–80s) belicht een opmerkelijke periode waarin de Arabische boekkunst bloeide, als spiegel van de artistieke, politieke en intellectuele gisting van de dekolonisatie in de Arabische wereld.
