During Museumnacht, the exhibition CaccHho CucchhA by Mercedes Azpilicueta transforms into a lively game night. Inspired by the ways children play, move, and imagine new stories together, the exhibition becomes the stage for a series of short activities lasting 10-20 minutes. Throughout the evening, artists Joy Mariama Smith, Rana Kelleci, laura fernández antolín, MengHan Wu & Maren Weertman, Emilija Filipenkovaitė and Moe Satt invite you to join sensory experiments, movement games, interactive play, and other playful surprises. Becoming a Mushroom (or a Barnacle)

In this offering, Joy Mariama Smith invites the public into a state of becoming, via the elements in CaccHho CucchhA. Together, we will work with imagination, intimacy and play, to enter an active state of embodiment. Smith will guide the public through supportive skills that will catalyse play, with no clear goal in mind. We will listen somatically, as an extension of ourselves, through objects and others (human, non-human an otherwise). Everyone is part of the process, no matter how brief or long the encounter.

Spiral Telephone: A Collective Language Game

Spiral Telephone is a participatory game that reimagines the childhood game of “telephone” through a large spiral, a form that embodies continuous movement, transformation and collectivity. Guided by a facilitator, participants whisper a word or sound from one to the next. As accents and interpretations shift, mishearings evolve into moments of playful invention, extending the playful environment of the exhibition.

sónar de caricias is a sensorial exploration of the exhibition: as we wear the different artworks, we'll delve into the space and each other through sound and touch. With an invitation to be blindfolded, our individual and collective awareness expands. The intention is to make collective compositions, and merge our imaginations through movement and drawing.

Speaking Space and Knees

Situated in the exhibition, the space and all its (non-)living inhabitants are leading in the interactive performance by MengHan Wu (violin) and Maren Weertman (dance), unfolding its sensorial information through movement, sound, text and the performers‘ bodies. Through improvisation they explore and express the sensations, emotions, and evolving stories present in the space, activating it through playfulness and sensory awareness. creating a playground where performers, audience, and artworks coexist without hierarchy, each influencing and being influenced in real time.

​​The Score of Things

The Score of Things is a participatory music game where chance determines each participant’s role and interpretation of a shared score. Guided by a randomly chosen conductor, visitors form temporary ensembles using costumes and props from the exhibition as their instruments. Each participant draws a card assigning a costume element and a way of activating it through movement, gesture, or subtle voice. Together they perform a short improvised piece that invites collective play and listening, turning the exhibition elements into a living, breathing orchestra.

Captain/Tiger/Gun

Step into this fast-paced, participatory game from Myanmar. Are you the Captain, the Tiger, or the Gun? Challenge artist Moe Satt in a playful battle of shifting power. With quick rounds, bold gestures, and special temporary tattoos to wear throughout the night.
