Black and white photo used for invitation
In the first space you experience the city surrounding you through a 'video window' - a play on outside-inside. We use the window to playback three recently made video tapes. These tapes were made in the Jordaan, around De Appel. The fourth piece which completes the window will be made live during the installation. The second environment is a play on memory. What fragments do you retain from an experience? A sound, a moment of time like a still photograph, an afterimage? Some of the sounds and images from space 2: are they similar or the same?'
