A new Appel-initiative, Walkthroughs is a series of short, informal get-togethers starting each Wednesday at 17:00 at the entrance of De Appel’s exhibition space in Amsterdam Nieuw-West. Each walkthrough highlights a specific perspective on the Hiwa K exhibition, as it gets mediated through the experiences of Appel team members working on the show. The first session, ‘The Producers’ (Lucie von Eugen and Liza Nijhuis), will start off the series, followed by ‘The Educator’ (David Smeulders), ‘The Editor’ (Maaike Lauwaert), ‘The Annotator’ (Nell Donkers) and ‘The Curator’ (yours truly). Make sure to join us for these first-hand get-togethers. We will share inside information and anecdotes habitually hidden to De Appel exhibition visitors…
