Nicoline van Harskamp (1975)

Description

1975, the Netherlands, lives/works in Rotterdam and London. Van Harskamp investigates the behaviour of the users of public space, listing and cataloguing for example the increasing number of surveillants in cities who are supposed to protect citizens. Harskamp showed in 2004 in Tracer, Tent/Witte de With, Rotterdam, Watchers, Coleman Project Space, London (solo), Call me Istanbul, Z.K.M., Karlsruhe and Beck’s Futures 2004, I.C.A., London. In 2003 her installation Guide to Istanbul Guards was included in the exhibition Making Space at Platform Garanti Centre for Contemporary Art, Istanbul, Turkey.
