Ilya Kabakov (1933-2023)

De Appel is deeply saddened by the death of Ilya Kabakov.
In 1989 Saskia Bos (director de Appel 1984-2005) invited him for a solo exhibition in de Appel.

In the installation he made, White paintings and little white people,he weaved meaning into the void with two kinds of texts for different people.
