‘After a period of two years De Appel is extending its activities once again to a site outside its own premises. In the context of the So und So und So festival that is being held from 15th to 29th May 1988 and which provides Dutch audio artists with the chance to carry out various projects, on the evening of Sunday 29th May Prinseneiland will be left behind and we will head for the polder. A battlefield in North Holland: where paint goes on the attack and space and rest must pay the price. The artist orchestrates the artillery that fires its own projectiles, a composition becomes audible and visible. De Appel presents Tabula Eruptus, a dense and once-off project of Peter Zegveld that can be seen live by 120 people and which will be recorded on film.
