9:29 - Seminar with Pamela Sneed

Pamela Sneed will discuss selections from a new hybrid poetry book, 9:29, which reflects on the Floyd uprisings, her father’s death, the pandemic, and lots of film reviews. She will send a selection of texts in advance for the participants to read and to respond to in writing. During the seminar she will discuss the readings with the participants who will share their written responses and engage in discussion.

Biography

Pamela Sneed

Pamela Sneed is a poet, performer, and visual artist. She is the author of Imagine Being More Afraid of Freedom Than Slavery, KONG and Other Works, Sweet Dreams, and Funeral Diva, which was featured in the New York Times and won the 2021 Lambda Lesbian Poetry Award. She is the recipient of a 2023 Creative Capital grant in literature. She is working on two manuscripts: America is Ready and 9:29.
