From the 7th to the 30th September across different spaces in the club, a series of videos from De Appel Archive will be on view. During the 1970s and 80s, many engaged with the medium of television as a theme and object. Several artists from this period used video in their artistic practice to reflect on the role and impact of the increasing presence of television in culture and society. These videos often challenged the authoritative and communicative role of the medium, or depicted TV in a parodist way, in order to speculate about the interactive possibilities new technological developments could offer the then future.
To view during club nights, entrance fee is required.
