Leyli Rashidi Rauf

Description

Leyli Rashidi Rauf is an artist working primarily with oil painting, charcoal, pencil, and installation. Her practice explores identity, gender, and the psychology of human experience through intimate observations of figures, bodies, and everyday objects. Her works often employ dark palettes and the absence, fragmentation, or concealment of figures to evoke feelings of solitude, instability, and introspection. Through these recurring motifs, she examines the relationship between the individual and their surroundings, as well as the emotional and psychological dimensions of everyday life. Her most recent mural was commissioned by Straat Museum Amsterdam.
