Sixin Chen

Description

Sixin Chen is a visual designer and artist. Her practice borrows the language of hospitality and service, repeating, scaling, and inhabiting these exchanges through visual material, performance, and installation. She is drawn to the creativity that survives inside consumed objects, and the labor that surrounds them: the imagination that persists within gendered, racialized, and culturally specific bodies, expressed through an aesthetic voice that refuses to be reduced to service alone.
