Rosemarie Blank

Rosemarie Blank (1939β2025) was a German-born filmmaker and visual artist based in the Netherlands. She studied in Berlin, worked for some time as an artist, and went on to study sociology, psychology, and education. Since 1978, she lived and worked in Amsterdam as a scriptwriter, director, editor, and producer. Her filmography blends documentary and fiction, exploring themes of memory, migration, and the human condition. Other films by Blank include Overgang and Job and the Dutch Free State.
