Katayoon Barzegar

Katayoon Barzegar (1990, Tehran) is a visual artist based in the Netherlands. Her practice interrogates the material processes through which regimes of power shape individual and collective bodies. Working across spatial interventions, sculpture, and video installation, she explores entanglements of resistance and embodiment within contested spaces. Her solo exhibitions include Monument Zero (Framer Framed, Amsterdam), Latent Geometry (Inja Gallery, Tehran). She has also presented at Nina bell F. Museum (Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons, Utrecht), and What the swans are twittering about the riverbed (Trixie, The Hague).
