Penny Wilson

Description

Sometime after leaving art school in London in the mid 1980s, Penny Wilson found herself working with disabled children in a play project. Here she learned more about creativity and imagination than she had all through her training. She got a job as a playworker on an inclusive adventure playground (that had been built by Lady Allen of Hurtwood) and she hasn’t stopped Playworking since. She has a collection of writing available on theinternationale.net/pennywilson and a new POD book Play Works. Since 2018 she has worked alongside the Turner Prize award winning art and architectural practice Assemble Studio, holding spin off organisation, AssemblePlayworksStudio.
