Farren van Wyk (1993) is a South African and Dutch Photographer and Educator. She holds a BA in Photography and an MA in Cultural & Visual Anthropology—her research-based work centres around decolonial methods of changing historical and cultural misrepresentations of people of colour. In her work, van Wyk draws lines between people, places, movements, personal history and memories.
Van Wyk’s work has been exhibited internationally at Photo Vogue Festival, Deichtorhallen Hamburg, Jaou Tunis, and Camissa Museum in Cape Town. Next to being part of the Talent Embassy Program and an emerging artist with FUTURES, she received numerous grants from PH Museum, Fonds Anna Cornelis and Women Photograph.
