De Enschedese School

Description

The Enschedese School was a publisher of contemporary fine art in limited editions, founded in 1976 by Frans Oosterhof in Enschede. An edition was published four to six times a year and sent directly to subscribers. The subscription model made the Enschedese School an early example of art creating its own distribution network, bypassing galleries and museums.
