Harpo ’t Hart (1985) is a curator, sound designer and artist, who studied piano at the Utrecht Conservatory, Media technology at Leiden University and Sound Studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin. With his work he questions the way we listen to the world. How should we listen to our rapidly changing world? A world of climate change, a world in which electronic devices listen to us. That is why Harpo investigates the possibilities of a music that does not revolve around people: a concert of things. He has worked for the Ruhrtriennale, Münchner Kammerspiele and NTGent, among others. Harpo has been involved in the Parliament of Things and the Embassy of the North Sea from 2017 and from 2019 has been responsible for the Imagination programme theme.
