Faysal Mroueh (1987)
Description
Faysal Mroueh (b. Nicosia 1987) is a digital artist and musician living in Amsterdam. He explores experimental uses of game engines to develop subversive game mechanics that aim to alter the habitual markers inherent to gameplay environments. He completed a postgraduate residency at De Ateliers and obtained an MA in New Media and Digital Culture from Utrecht University. Recent exhibitions/performances/projects include Virtual Art House in Turku, transmediale in Berlin, Gossamer Fog/Alt_R in London, Worm in Rotterdam and a collaboration with Lower Levant Company at the Venice Art Biennale 2024.
