Robin van ’t Haar

Robin van ’t Haar (1974)

Description

1974, the Netherlands, lives/works in Rotterdam.
Robin van ‘t Haar is obsessed by public space, or rather by the rules and codes of behaviour that apply there. He is interested in the theatricality of the everyday, investigating in particular people’s conduct and collecting and archiving routines that are never talked about or described. For the last two years he has been presenting his work under the collective term Cityscapes. Cityscapes take place chiefly in stations, airports or supermarkets. Van ‘t Haar’s work was shown in 2004 in Tracer, Tent/Witte de With, Rotterdam; Kunstwerken, Atelier HSL / Atelier Rijksbouwmeester, The Hague and Uitgelicht 04/Kunstvlaai, Westergasfabriek, Amsterdam.
