A broad strip of transparent paper was installed that runs from the floor, diagonally through the room, up to the opposite wall. A bright yellow lamp shines up through it, enlightening the vague, colourful marks on the strip. These marks suggest spontaneous scribbles, pattern design and scientific formulas, which are very close together from below but become more loosely arranged at the top. This suggests being able to effortlessly shift into the invisible, the infinite. As one climbs higher via the stairs, one looks back and sees at irregular intervals a dark black corridor, repeatedly illuminated for a moment by a bright flash, which makes visible the contours of a white body of coral that is hollow in the middle. Both situations are accompanied from above and below by amplified sound that is heard when the lamp flashes. The playful echo of the sound reverberates below.’ (LvG, ‘Bagnoli’, De Volkskrant, 14-11-1980.)

The Mondriaan Foundation supported the realisation of this design, that was adapted to the new location. de Appel timeline: 40+ years of risks, collection (unintended)
De Appel timeline: 40+ years of risks is an idiosyncratic and celebratory overview of the more than 2000 projects realised, initiated, hosted and programmed at De Appel. This extensive summary engenders a new phase at the organisation by reflecting on what has taken place in the past. It is an inevitable end that marks a new beginning. De Appel timeline: 40+ years of risks is the last project to take place at the current Prins Hendrikkade location. Ongoing project to be bound at a later date.

USB stick, 2025
interrāre, al-dafn: Scattering and the counter Archive, collection (unintended)
this USB stick contains screenshots from a Mine-test construction made by my son. He built 2 appartments under a glass dome. The appartments and the dome appeared to him in a dream. We are trying to meet in our dreams when we are apart. One of the appartments is for my son and me and the other for him and his father. We found out that we both dream of homes so we try to focus on this before going to sleep. This technique was taught to us by Daniel Godínez-Nivón. It helps to overcome the distance between us and the longing for eachother.
