In early 2009 Ann Demeester was invited by dr. Sophie Berrebi to participate in a course at the University of Amsterdam, entitled ‘Doing Modern and Contemporary Art’. 

In a series of seminars students are introduced to different practices in the field of contemporary art, such as art criticism, the art market, artistic practice and curatorial practice. The seminars on curatorial practice take place in four meetings, all hosted and made possible by Ann Demeester and Hendrik Folkerts, in dialogue with the Curatorial Programme. The seminars aim to offer different and varied perspectives on what curatorial practices (can) entail. 

This collaboration has been extended to the academic year of 2010/2011. Guest speakers have been Rein Wolfs, Eva Meyer-Hermann, Maria Hlavajova, Nathalie Zonnenberg, Paul O’Neill and Adam Szymczyk.
